An experienced corporate executive, director, and entrepreneur, Trevor Fetter is a Senior Lecturer at the Harvard Business School, where he teaches “The Life and Role of the CEO” and the required courses “Leadership and Corporate Accountability” and “Financial Reporting and Control”, all in the MBA program. Trevor also serves as lead director of The Hartford Financial Services Group and as a director of the Santa Catalina Island Company. He sits on the Senior Advisory Board of Towerbrook Capital Partners and is non-executive Chair of Trimedx, Inc. In addition, he is a member of the Board of Fellows of Stanford Medicine, the national board of the Smithsonian Institution, and the board of the Catalina Island Conservancy.

From 1995 to 2000, Trevor served as Chief Financial Officer of Tenet Healthcare Corporation. He then founded Broadlane, Inc. He returned to Tenet and was appointed Chief Executive Officer in 2003. Under his leadership, the company grew to $20 billion in revenues (Fortune 500 #134). The company employed 130,000 people, making it one of the top sixty employers in the U.S., and had operations in more than 40 states and the U.K. As CEO, Trevor launched initiatives to re-shape the company’s hospital portfolio and to create growth engines in new business lines of outpatient services and business-to-business services in the revenue cycle and value-based care, both of which became multi-billion dollar businesses.

Prior to his 22-year career in healthcare, Trevor worked in the entertainment industry, serving as CFO of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc. He began his career in investment banking with Merrill Lynch.

Trevor is a graduate of Stanford University and holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
