Shirley Ruiz is Director of the Corporate Governance Consulting Group at Morrow Sodali. She has over 20 years of industry experience and has worked with the Corporate Governance Consulting Group for more than 15 years. She provides clients with critical insight on navigating potential voting challenges to minimize the risk of opposition.
Shirley has extensive experience evaluating ownership profiles and preparing many pro forma voting assessments across a wide array of shareholder and board referendums. As part of the assessment process, she is deeply involved with tracking institutional vote returns and analyzes the voting behaviors and methodologies of numerous money management firms.
Shirley previously worked in the firm’s Stock Surveillance department, where she provided analysis of trading activity and ownership profiles, and the Proxy Solicitation department, where she worked on a number of proxy contests and tender offers as well as annual and special shareholder meetings.
