Simon Petar is a Director in the Political Affairs team. Simon has over 20 years’ experience in public affairs, media relations, corporate affairs and crisis communications.

Simon has a particular specialism in the built environment, real estate, retail, FMCG and education sectors, and was previously a spokesperson for Tesco, often appearing on local radio and television.

Simon advises clients on all public affairs work related to the built environment and real estate and has extensive experience in education, retail, FMGC and high-net-worth individuals.

Simon’s work includes senior counsel on threats and opportunities from existing and proposed legislation. Most recently advising the International Chamber of Commerce on their flagship campaign for the introduction of the Electronic Trade Documents Act, which received Royal Assent in July 2023.

Simon is a Trustee of the Alan Senitt Memorial Trust and was previously Vice Chair of the board and board member of Hertfordshire University Student Union.

After obtaining a BA in politics from the University of Leicester, Simon started his career in the press office for the Office of the Chief Rabbi, Lord Rabbi Sacks.
