Climate Governance Initiative Global Summit

Morrow Sodali is glad to take part in the inaugural Climate Governance Initiative Global Summit organized and hosted by the local Chapters of the Climate Governance Initiative in collaboration with the World Economic Forum.

The debates, taking place across multiple time zones from 23 to 26 March, will revolve around the climate change creating risks and opportunities for business in a diverse number of ways, and how investors, regulators and other stakeholders are now challenging companies to take responsibility by adopting an integrated, strategic approach to addressing the climate emergency.

During the session of March 26, Fabio Bianconi, Morrow Sodali’s Senior Director, will present insights on how different stakeholders can integrate non-financial and climate disclosures into their business, and their expectations from the future.

Through a set of Climate Governance Principles for boards of directors, the World Economic Forum aims to enable non-executive directors (NEDs) to gain climate awareness and skills, embed climate considerations into board decision-making, and understand and act upon the risks and opportunities that the climate emergency poses.
